NY Court Upholds Marriage Ban

The New York Supreme Court today ruled that the ban on homosexual marriages is legal under the NY constitution.

Cited as a major reason - promoting stability for wanton, shameless heterosexuals who have fly-by-night relationships and accidentally get pregnant. Plus, homosexuals who are serious-minded and responsible about planning to raise children in a stable household are not as fit to raise children as irresponsible hormone-machines who have no self-control or self-respect.

"For the welfare of children, it is more important to promote stability, and to avoid instability, in opposite-sex than in same-sex relationships," the majority said. And it ruled that a state legislature could also rationally conclude that "it is better, other things being equal, for children to grow up with both a mother and a father."

"The legislature could find that unstable relationships between people of the opposite sex present a greater danger that children will be born into or grow up in unstable homes than is the case with same-sex couples," who must plan more deliberately to raise children, the decision said.

See, heteros need marriage to make them responsible and stable. Once married, they will grow up, stop sleeping around, and live happily ever after. Homos don't need marriage because they are already monogamous adults. 'Cause that's what marriage does, it tames the wild beasts. If you're already tame, you don't need to be married. That's why there's so little divorce which can do more damage to children than being raised in a same-sex marriage or by a single parent.

That's also why New York banned marriages by the elderly, the barren, and the voluntary childless. It doesn't really matter if they sleep around and go from relationship to relationship. (No, of course they didn't ban those marriages.)

Also, since every single parentless child in New York has been placed permanently in a stable heterosexual home, the state doesn't need any other types of stable, permanent homes to place children in.

Doesn't this sound like a court that is grasping to find any excuse to bar same sex marriages?
